Introducing....Ella Kaye!!!!
We are proud to introduce our newest addition, Ella Kaye Clopton! She was born Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 1:12 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 19 3/4" long.
The story of her birth was a little exciting. I had been "preparing" for Ella's arrival for the past month but I was not expecting her to arrive until around February 20th, which was her due date. I had started to dilate about 2 weeks before she was born so the doctor thought she was going to come earlier than her due date. We were also a little nervous because there had been A LOT of snow this winter. The day before Ella was born, my mom and sister came up to stay the night. My doctor had said if I was dilated anymore he would go ahead and admit me to the hospital since there was supposed to be a lot of snow on Wednesday. At the appointment, the doctor decided to send me downstairs to be admitted and later that afternoon our precious Ella was born. Harper could not have been more excited! He is a GREAT big brother. He instantly wanted to hold, hug and kiss her!
Isn't this sweet?!
As expected, the next day we received a record amount of snowfall! We got about 24" at our house! We could not even see our car in the parking lot of the hospital because the snow was covering it! Luckily, our awesome neighbor came to pick us up at the hospital to take us all home. My mom was able to keep Harper at our house while we were in the hospital. Here are some pictures of us before we left the hospital.
The past 2 months have been great! Ella is a wonderful baby! She looks so much like her brother. Harper is such a wonderful big brother and helper too! He always wants to help take care of his sister. It is absolutely precious to watch!
Time is flying by and I cannot believe she is already 2 months old. Here are a few pictures of when she was one and two months old. My next post will be pictures from her newborn photo shoot!
